Finnish preparation for the official YKI exam

If you’re preparing for the official YKI keskitaso (intermediate level) Finnish exam or simply looking to improve your overall Finnish skills, this course is for you. Designed to provide comprehensive practice across all sections of the YKI exam—speaking, reading, listening, and writing—this course will guide you through the exam structure and familiarize you with authentic exam materials. Our goal is to help you feel confident and well-prepared on exam day, while also strengthening your general language proficiency. A minimum of B1-level Finnish is recommended for participants enrolling in this course. The YKI (Yleinen kielitutkinto) exam is the National Certificate of Language Proficiency in Finland. It is a test designed for adults to demonstrate their level of proficiency in Finnish. There are also YKIs for Swedish and Northern Sami. The YKI is an important tool for certifying language skills in Finland, especially for those seeking citizenship or needing to demonstrate their language proficiency for employment or educational purposes. Our online classes will be live and interactive, allowing you to connect with the teacher and other students from anywhere. The time indicated corresponds to Central European Time (CET).
